Product Description

VAT BLUE 4 #, also known as Reduced Blue RSN, Shilin Blue RSN, or Reduced Brilliant Blue 5RL, is commonly known as Blue Anthraquinone or Yin Dan Ketone. C I code 69800. Physical properties: Blue black powder. Insoluble in water, acetic acid, pyridine, toluene, xylene, acetone, and ethanol; Slightly soluble in hot chloroform, o-chlorophenol, and quinoline. Blue in alkaline sodium hydroxide reducing solution; Red light blue in acidic solution. Brown in concentrated sulfuric acid, diluted to produce blue precipitate. Easy to over oxidize and reduce, sensitive to hard water, not resistant to chlorine bleaching.
Usage: Widely used for the dyeing of yarn's cryptochrome, ultra-fine powder can be used for suspension pad dyeing of cotton fabric and polyester/cotton. It is popular to roll dye 190 # Shilin blue fabric with a dark alkaline solution. It can also be dyed on cotton knitted fabrics. It can also be used for direct printing and anti dyeing printing of cotton fabric, but cannot be dyed by hand. It can also be used to dye fabrics such as viscose, nylon, and vinylon. This product can be paired with restored dark blue VB, FSHB and other varieties, and can also be paired with restored brown BR and olive green B to dye dark gray. Can be used for two bath dyeing of polyester/cotton blended fabrics. It can also be processed into organic pigments for use in inks and paints.
